Alpine Sunflower
Also know as the Old Man of the Mountain. This plant grows from 6 to 10 years before it flowers.
Each year it dies back and suck all it nutrients back to the roots until the next season until it is big and strong enough to flower. .
 
Bristlecone Pine - Flag Tree
A Flag Tree is one that the wind blow predominantly from one side causing to only grow on the down-wind side.
